So I have a peavey irp3000 amp power my subs run off an xlr cable from my integra 9.8 pre amp. Problem is the sub is humming like crazy. I've tried to lift the ground on the amp and the pre amp... No change. If I mute the avr it stopes or if stop my DVR it shuts up. But the problem is on my other impute to so I don't think the DVR is to blam. Any ideas?

disconnect your cable TV cable and see if it goes away, if so you need a ground loop isolator

I only have direct tv and I have them running through my furman power conditioner. Should I still give it a try? Thanks for the help

Have you tried running your audio from the Satbox via toslink? Power conditoners don't always break ground loops.

An optical cable provides isolation, that may work, or you can look into using a ground loop isolator but try the optical cable first. Also, make sure all devices are on the same circuit or same split-phase of your breaker panel.
