What is or looks interesting about them?

"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass

Does it compress the music and and make the lyrics hard to understand?

Just an off the cuff observation, those first 2 sets of cables look like they may be a problem for the rear of receivers as those bullets on the ends are fairly large and preouts are usually fairly close together on the back of an AVR.

Most of the cables are "TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE". Not suprising, zombies move slow, so production takes quite a while.

Your question sounds exactly like the type of question Kepner Tregoe would use.
