    Default 660wi shorting?

So I've got a 660wi that seems to have a short in it? The blue light on the front does not turn on, and the green light on the back turns on for a spilt second, then it turns red and green again for a split second. I'd say if I had to measure it - it would be 8/10'ths of a second would be a green light, 1/10 of a second would be a red light, and the other 1/10 of a second the light would be off.

Is there some way to reset the sub? I also noticed that my receiver kept changing into Pure Direct mode (on multiple occassions) and I had to switch it to something else.

So is this a 660Wi sub issue, or an issue with my SC37? I doubt its an issue with the reciever as I'm driving what would be considered one of the easiest setups in the world. But.... something isn't working right and I need to figure out what it is.

    Hello,
The best way to check out the sub is to connect the Oppo's right and left audio outputs directly to the sub's inputs with the sub's volume set at zero. Then start playing a CD and slowly increase the sub's volume level.
    Regards, Ken

The sub does this with nothing connected to it - I think I'll pull the plate/sub and see of something came loose. Otherwise it looks like I'll be sending it in. I'll post back and let you know - I'd need more info if that's the case.

Took the plate of, and everything seems fine from what I can tell. Put it all back together, and the amp still wants to power cycle itself

    Hello,
I don't believe there is anything else that you can try. It would be best to contact Polk's CS department either via telephone at 1-800-377-7655 or email at polkcs@polkaudio.com.
    Sorry for the problem, Ken

No worries - never had to deal with Polk, but I'm sure they will take care of me. Thanks for the help though

Called Polk CS and gave them all of the troubleshooting that I've done already, they asked a couple other questions - and within 10 minutes of being on the phone, I have a new amp on it's way.

Those people complaining about Polk CS really just need to pick up the phone. I'd like to take this time to give a shoutout to my CS rep Ms. Diaz!
