When I was demoing the 703's I had them on a pair of Sanus ultimates and it did the job very well. Those 703's are huge so the more stable the better. Congrats on your new speakers. Just picked up a pair of LSI M speakers myself.
705's
I haven't heard the 705's yet only the 707s and 703's. I do however love the 703's but I prefer floorstanders. The 703's would've been more than enough for my 16x12x8 basement room. The 703s are basically the 707's minus the sub section, so you have subs already you should be good to go.

Never had the Kef's in house.
Speaker stands? Nah! Just place them on top of some tall floor standing speakers (i.e. RTi12) so that the 703s are 1.5-2ft above ear level. Then, push it all back as close to the wall as you can get it.
Oh, wait...that's what not to do when setting up speakers. Oops!
On a serious note, I use these for my LSi9's:

They may not be the height you're looking for, but they seem to be good budget stands. They are sturdy, and look good (in my opinion). They can also be filled with shot or sand in the center to add mass. The 703's are actually 3.4lbs lighter than the LSi9's, so if they can hold my 9s, they should be able to hold your 703 well.
Thanks I'll take a look
