Default Turntable Crackle/Static in Right channel.

    Guys,

Recently I started hearing some crackle in my right channel. The crackle is constant and occurs on all LPs. In an effort to correct the problem, I realigned my cartridge. The problem was reduced, but still exists only quieter. The alignment looks pretty damn perfect under my usb microscope using my Mint LP protractor. What else can I do to alleviate this problem, which did not exist a week ago. I think I may clean the connections with deoxit tonight. Any other suggestions would be great.

    Mike

Reverse the RCA cables from TT to Amp and see if you then hear the noise in the other channel.
If so, you just have a bad cable/worn cable connector.
Just thinking this may be worthwhile before potentially replacing (upgrading :)) something far more costly.

Good idea. I will check that. But seeing as the issue only presents when playing Vinyl, not digital, I suspect the problem is with my TT somewhere.

In that case maybe try swapping the TT cable out with that from your CDP.
    Anyway best of luck.

Antiskate may need adjusting if it is one channel only

Check the Anti-skate like your going too. It sounds like the weight is off. Some carts don't show it as an issue right away.
