Will this sub/amp combination work?

I have 2 10in Dxi 104 subs. One of them is a DVC http://www.polkaudio.com/caraudio/dx...subs#dxi104dvc

The amp I have is a Power Acoustik Model: CPT2-1500 http://www.poweracoustik.com/pa2012/amps-CPT2-1500.html

My questions are:

1. Is this amp capable?

2. How do the subs need to be wired together to achieve the correct ohms?

3. How does the connection(s) to the amp need to configured to achieve enough watts with the correct ohms?

I'm not sure that you can wire in a mixture of DVC and SVC subs.

I see two options
First
(1) Wire the DVC in parallel
(2) Wire the two subs in parallel

By doing this, it should give you a 3 ohm load. The problem I see is that one sub presents a 4 ohm load while the other presents a 2 ohm load which might not work. I'm not sure but would this mean that one sub will be getting more power than the other?

I say call up Polk customer service and ask them.

Yes both subs are 4 ohm. The problem is that one sub has two 4 ohm coils and the other has one 4 ohm coil. If you were to wire the DVC sub by itself to an amp there would be no way to present a 4 ohm load to the amp. You would either wire the coils in series (8ohms) or parallel (2ohms). Polk will be able to tell you right away if there is some fancy wiring technique to get your subs to work together but my guess is no.

just do the three ohm. both subs will get the same power and if you amp is rated to as low as 2 ohms it should be perfectly fine. ull just get lower rms than the amp is rated @ 2 ohms and more than its rated @4
