I believe these are Polk Audio Monitor Series RTA-8T Towers.

    http://www.polksda.com/rta8t.shtml

However it is difficult to gauge the size in the photo here is the RTA-11T

    http://www.polksda.com/rta11t.shtml

A look under the speaker grills will tell the story.

For "A" holes to appear as if by magic mention Speaker wire and interconnects, For a jihad say
"zip-cord". But for Utter annihilation mention psychoacoustics.

Might the seller have misread "11T" as III? They are RTAs of some variety.

look at the serial number if it is a RTA-8T the serial number is 8T-XXXXXX, is an RTA-11T then it is 11T-XXXXXX

I'd guess that is a pic from a seller and all the OP has. Not that that changes anything.

They look like they have been stored in a humidor. look at the way the tops of the cabinets appear to be warping at the back.

Might be just the vinyl laminate peeling.

I see what you mean, the top of the left hand tower has been wet. if you look close the particle board has swollen. Once this sort of particle board does this you will have to carefully remove and replace the top board to repair it The veneer looks to be vinyl which you can purchase online and I have seen some of it that you can actually install using an iron. Unless you can get a fantastic deal on these speakers I would be temped to walk away.

    Hi,

I don't have the speakers - they are for sale on Craigslist. I was just curious as to the models so I could look up reviews or threads. I already have an excessive number of vintage Polk speakers, so I'm not in a giant hurry to get more unless these were something very special.

    Thanks everyone!
