"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass

I don't know anything about these but just by looking at the pictures... they aren't mirrored pairs. And you show two shots of the back posts where at the top you see a large letter "L". I didn't look it up so I don't know if they come mirrored or not but it's just an observation.
He posted each of the three pictures twice. That's why there's two with the "L" on them--it's identical to the other picture. Unlikely that they were originally mirrored. Most speakers of that nature from that era were not.

Never even picked up on the pictures being double posted... LOL
wow
Not from the 1970s, though, are they? Too Rococo-looking (to my eye, at any rate).
all the best,

http://www.kenwood.de/WebFiles/File/...ive/ls1800.pdf looks like the extra terminals were for Kenwood's Sigma Drive, which seems to be a feed back loop.
not the 1800, but a similar LS-1000 http://www.thevintageknob.org/kenwood-LS-1000.html
and an amp utilizing the Sigma drive.... kinda funky looking... http://www.thevintageknob.org/kenwood-KA-1000.html

the trio-1000 are the same, but sold for the japanese market, these were from west germany and never sold in the USA.. I think it was kenwoods attemp at the "High End" market, guess it didnt work, lol.. they do sound nice for there size though and the little planer mids and tweeters are kinda cool, Kevlar cones.. maybe I can sell them to some 20 something year old to match the hood on there honda civic :) I dont know how many times when I was a kid I drove around with big house speakers in the back seat.

They are worth a lot more than you think. I would not try to sell them to a 20 year old unless his last name is Zuckerburg. Try AudioGon or e-bay. These speakers are much more advanced than you know and are big time collected in Asia. They will be purchased and in all likelihood sent to an entity who will send them back to Asia.
