Default Need some advice on polarity of Can Capacitor (Fisher 800B)

    Hello,
I recently started restoring a fisher 800b, I've already done quite a bit of restoration, and it sounds a lot better than my pioneer a35r already (with the stock tubes from 64). However i'd like to replace the can capacitor. The replacement nichion i was given w/ my kit has only a negative and a positive "leg", whereas the older fisher Can cap has four terminals. Anyone out there have any experience changing this kind of vintage capacitor? I may be on the wrong forum, but figured i'd ask. If anyone wants to help i'll put up some pics! Thanks!

Some old caps with four terminals are two caps in one. if you check on top of cap you will see some simbols like square, triagle etc showing capacitance and voltages.

All four of those leg should be +, where the can ties to the chassis is the ground/-. All values should be stamped into the size. It is okay to go over spec, just don't go too wild, or below. You might have to place the new caps under the chassis, or you could remove the old one by turning the 4 tabs back strait and wiggling it out, and super glue a new cap in it's place, just make sure you rough up the mounting plate and the bottom of the cap first, best of luck.
