I sent him a message of possible interest and he came back to me with "after I did some research on these speakers, I find they are highly sought after. I hooked them up today and they shake the house. If you want them I am raising the price to 550. Let me k ow if that interests you" ???? Too funny this guy is!!

FAIR price? Somewhere around $1100 give or take a couple of hundred. First Generation SRS, not my first choice.

I'd say in the middle is about right. $2000 is WAY too much, and $600 is a steal. And if you were looking for a set of SDA's, you could do a lot worse than an original set of SRS's. I really enjoy mine...

But for $2000.... PASS!

Yeah I figured his asking price was way too high, especially for my budget.
Good to have an idea of value when watching CL, the local papers, etc.; you don't always have the time to do any research when you do come across something though.

Yes finding at good price and finding them close is hard to do. Sda 1C or 2B don't rule them out just because they are smaller. What amount are you looking to spend, which model, and your zipcode maybe we can help you.

Could be but most CL posters don't delete their posts as soon as they sell them.
I have emailed on posts that are months old and seller says he forgot to delete them.
