3000p Driver Polarity?

I've opened up the base cabs to replace the drivers, and repair the cabinet, and it appears they are wired in reverse of each other, IE the pos/neg is switched on each driver. Is this correct? Are they supposed to have a push/pull setup or should they be wired in phase?

I have not opened mine up, but I believe in another thread it was said they were in series. Thus there should be only one connection between the two drivers connecting the negative of one driver to the positive on the other.

There is only one connection...while I'm not very educated with bass enclosures, running in series doesn't seem to make sense, as the drivers would cancel out each other....being out of phase wouldn't the outward excursion of one cancel the air displacement of the inward excursion of the other? Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of the ported enclosure? Or is that part of the magic of the level of bass these puppies put out?

Hello Inspector,
The two woofers are connected in a series configuration to the bass amplifier, but they remain in phase with each other. A positive going pulse will move both woofer cones outward at the same time. There should be a red wire connecting the bass amplifier to the positive terminal of the upper woofer. Then another wire (possibly green, but my memory could be wrong) links the negative of the upper woofer to the positive terminal of the lower woofer. The last connection is a black wire that goes from the lower woofer's negative terminal to the bass amp, completing the circuit.
The way to think of the connection is to remove either of the two woofers and substitute a piece of wire and you'll find that the remaining woofer has its positive terminal always connected to the positive side of the bass amp and its negative to the amp's negative.
