    Default Hmmmm

The Sony ES has OSD also. The OSD only works, on Sony, when you connect a Composite Video cable to the "Monitor Out" connection. It will not OSD thru the SVideo/Component/Etc. connections. Try that perhaps.

FrankZ had a Pioneer, he may catch this thread.

    Check it out,
run a composite or S video out of the monitor out of the receiver.Put the TV on the correct input. Then hit the setup menu..............ALLDAY onscreen display.

Post On Screen Display - Pioneer Elite

    Roy,
The video cable from your sources must be the same type as the video cable connected from the "monitor out" jack on the Elite to the monitor. If your Elite has video upconversion, then your settings may be in error. I have the 47TX, so I do not have the upconversion, but found out that the DVD player connected via a super video cable (or component video) and monitor via an RCA video cord does not work.
