    Default New Music to Me

I have been trying to expand my music experince and I have stumbled onto two Artists that have just blown me away. The kind that make you want to go and fork out more cash for new audio equipment. Florence & the Machine and Lana Del Rey.

Anyone else checked out there music?

Cerimonials by Florence and the Machine is one of the best albums ever. I've played that cd so much, I think I need to buy a 2nd copy.

If you wish to step back into time, Kings of Leon "Only by the Night" is another really good cd.

Sounds like you like baroque pop. Luckily for you it has been in a revival the last 5+ years. Check out some of the groups listed here under recent groups: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...ue_pop_artists.

A few of the highlights for me are Arcade Fire, Bon Iver, Fleet Foxes, Regina Spektor, The National, and Vampire Weekend. Some of the other bands have made some great albums as well.

I didn't realize there was a name for the genre.

I like some of those artists, but gotta be in the right mood. I own Arcade Fire's album on cd and is good, but like I said...gotta be in the right mood.

    Black keys, "thickfreakness"...

I've heard a bit of Florence, but I have not really dived too deep.

    Black Keys are great.

I actually saw them last year and Florence opened for them. Not necessarily a huge fan of hers, but she was certainly impressive live.
