    Question Denon AVR-1713 with Polk Audio Speakers

    hi, guys! i'm new here and i'd like to ask for your opinion regarding this 5.1 ht setup.

    i'm planning to buy this:

    Denon AVR-1713
    Polk Audio TSi 200 - front
    Polk Audio OWM3 - rear
    Polk Audio CS 10 - center
    Polk Audio PSW 110 - subwoofer

    what can you say, guys? is this setup ok or compatible with each other?

    Looks like a pretty decent setup. Not the OMG gonna blow you a way, but its a solid budget system. Apart from the rear speakers (which dont matter much anyway), everything seems matched well.

    Welcome to Club Polk!

    I wouldn't worry about the OWMs in the back, they are designed to be compatible with a number of other Polk speakers and should match up well enough with the TSI series. The only thing we usually recommend is going bigger on the center speaker, maybe the CS20--simply because so "much" of the surround soundtrack is carried by the center channel.

    The entry level Denon should power that setup fine. Set your LFE crossover to 80 hz and enjoy.

    In general, Denon AVRs sound pretty good with Polk speakers. I've run TSIs, RTiAs, and LSis on them and they match up well.

    I'll agree with moving that center up a notch to the CS20, but also If budget allows, look for a psw505 sub, and move the fronts up a notch too to the TSI300, or 400'S.

    hi guys! got my denon avr-1713, tsi200 and psw110 and it sounds good!

    i don't have cs10 and owm3 yet... you think i have to go with cs20?

    If you have the "space" for it you won't regret having the larger center. If not you can get by with the 10. For me there was no question that the larger center was a better choice.
