Question what power and configuration for subs?

I recently purchased two DX10 4-ohm subs. I am in the process of building a well braced sealed enclosure housing both 10's with a divider between the two from 3/4" mdf to go in the rear of my '96 Blazer. Should I buy an amp that pushes 600 watts rms at 2 ohms and wire the subs in parallel, or buy two 300 watts rms at 4 ohms amps to push each sub separately?Or are my power ratings even correct at all? I have read some places that in order to wire these in parallel, the amp must be stable to 1 ohm and other places that say it only needs to be stable down to 2 ohms. Please clarify these issues for me and any productive input would be greatly appreciated.

If your goal is a very well controlled bass response that has good pitch and detail, then use the amplifier that has a power rating of 300 x 2 and wire the subs in the stereo mode configuration.
If the goal is SPL, then go for the amplifier that has a power rating of 600 x1 into a 2 Ohm Mono load. We recommend setting the crossover to 80 Hertz and allow 40 hours of playing music at a reasonable level to let the woofer's suspension "break-in".
Make sure that the amplifier is 2 Ohm mono stable, not just 2 Ohm stereo stable. Most newer amplifier will drive 2 Ohm loads in the stereo mode, but they may not drive a 2 Ohm mono load. They will usually have this information in the owner's manual. If you still are not sure, then call the manufacture
and speak to their technical support department.

    Happy Box Building!!
