Just got my 2.3's out of storage and fired them up to find they shut down on high volume. They sound great at first then go into a mono sounding funk. Any technical advise to get started on trouble shooting. thanks

Need more info to help
amp? receiver? system in general.....
shut down as in tweeters cut out?
I think its the tweeters. My system is fine, simple marantz. Sound is great then at high level starts to crackle and then shuts down to a mono muffle.
I think its the tweeters. There is a definite crackle in sound before they shut down. Sounds like an amp shut down but its not
well with the limited info I'd say back her down a bit. Tweeters are poly switched so when it happens can you turn all the way down then turn back up and sound is back?
If so then you are over driving your receiver ....

As pitdogg2 implies, you're not really helping us to help you.
Please be more specific. What amp? What source, etc.?My system is fine, simple marantz.
Please be more specific. Where on the volume control does this happen?Sound is great then at high level starts to crackle and then shuts down to a mono muffle.
'Political Correctness'.........defined
"A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."
If I turn it all the way down after it happens and then back up it stays the same. I have to waite a minute and then go back up
Be very afraid...of attempting to power monster speakers with a lame receiver or small amp. The thing will freak out and damage your speakers. Polk sells replacements at $48 each and it adds up.
