Monitor 5jr's blowing tweeter protection fuse

I've got them hooked up to an Emotiva a-100 mini (50 w per side) with a PSW10 Sub. Use this setup for music from computer, through a fiio e10 dac. Don't listen at outrageous levels. When I got the speakers (ebay purchase about a year ago) I had to replace the fuses as they were blown. The previous owner had 2.5 amp 250v fast blowsin there. Should I be using something different--are these blowing sooner than they should. Or could mt emotiva be distorting? Be a good excuse to upgrade to their 125 watter. Thanks, Scott

I'm pretty sure it's suppose to be a 1 amp fuse. Other than that you should consider turning the volume level down, then buy a different brand of amp.

Not a big fan of the emotiva stuff? I've only had it a month or so, and the only complaint I would have is that the mids aren't quite as open as I'd like, but I'm hoping they'll open up with time. Are there other brands you would suggest in the same price range? BTW, I like your signature.

There's plenty of better amps on the used market.

the tweeters will shut down on those when they over heat just turn it down a lil while then adjust volume acordingly
