That should sound sweet! Two other 5814s I really liked with the Amp 1 were the RCA TM BP 5814s and the CBS Hytron 5814s. If you find you would still like a little more bass, the RCA TM BP 5814 is the tube to use. The CBS will give you more midrange sweetness and extended highs.

Thanks Dawg, I went with a pair of new old stock General Electric 5814A tube in original military box they have "D" getters and the black plate triple mica construction.
