On Memorial Day weekend May 1970 New Paltz had a 2 day spring concert w/a Saturday and Sunday show. The 1st show was Sonny Terry and Brownie McGee (old blues dudes), The Youngbloods and then Hot Tuna. The Sunday show was the Airplane then Joe Cocker and Mad Dogs and Englishmen w/ about 30 people on stage and Leon Russell was both the band leader and piano and 2nd lead guitatist. The Youngbloods made an announcement that they were taking crowd shots for their next album cover or rear cover. So here it is if you look from the center of the media box a little more than 1/2 way up and see a tall blonde guy (my friend Jeff) I'm 2 people to the right w/ an opened button down shirt, left nipple exposed and an acid grin about a mile wide. Talk about 15 minutes of fame ,that Andy Warhol was a genious, how many of you can say your cleary visible on a rock album cover.BTW the music on the lp is not from the show. Some say I'm on the Todd Rundgren Live @ Central Park lp but I have never found it.I remembered this when I went back into playing vinyl and got it off E-Bay for like $9 I believe in very good shape.
Don't ask my to circle, point, make an arrow or any other advanced sh$t because I have no idea how to do any of that stuff.
