    Default My modest 2 chan

I set this up over the weekend.

2 x LSI 7's (Snagged em for 4 beans new on Amazon Acoustic Sound Design)
    Powered by leftover 2 channel Niles 2125 200 wpc @ 4 ohms
Fed from my Marantz AV7701 Zone 2
I added a leftover DSW micropro 1000 cabled to the cascade preouts of the Niles.

Listening with Spotify in 12x10 room with 7' ceiling.

I must say I am pretty impressed by the LSI 7's. The tweeties are singing and the bass is sweet using the micropro crossover at about 80 Hz.

    I am diggin!!!

Very nice! I love those 7's. Try setting the crossover on the micropro lower, say 50-55ish, and then bump up the volume some. Congrats on the sweet setup!

    Congrats!

Nice setup. The MP-1000 is the "perfect" complement to the LSI-7s, I auditioned that with mine and can't say enough about it--especially in smaller rooms!

    Enjoy!

Photos like this are why you'll never see me posting pics of my room. I'd need a shovel just to clear out the Legos between my speakers first...

    Nice setup. Enjoy.

Would have liked to have gotten a set of 9's but they appear to be all gone now... I still think it would be hard to beat the 7's at $400.

I have those same stands (only 36" ) in my ht setup. they are heavy and stable and not hard on the eyes.

The 7s are wonderful speakers, and appear to by just right for your room. The microPro sub complements them nicely, however, that blue glow drove me nuts - unnecessary, IMO! Close your eyes and enjoy!

My sub started walking on the hardwood floor during intro to Donald Fagens Morph the Cat. Ordered an Auralex Subdude isolation platform. I have one in the HT which works gr8.

    Great bass test track tho.

Question... Does anybody have any thoughts on a Yamaha MX-1000 amp?

I'm thinking of doing a man cave room with vintage audio stuff and the specs and reviews are pretty solid... anybody have any experiences or thoughts?
