Feedback on a power conditioner with sequence power-up...

I spent yesterday evening researching power conditioners with a sequenced start-up/shut-down. So far I'm thinking the Monster PowerCenter Pro 3500. Any feedback on this unit would be appreciated.

Monster is not most people's first choice for price or ethical reasons, but they do make some decent products.

Why do you need sequence start-up?

I need sequenced for when turning on the system if I'm not home, Ive tried to get it clear on the proper order to no avail so want to get something with 1 button on, 1 button off setup.

Why not explore a different direction...? Something like a Harmony remote where it is as simple as pressing "Watch Blu-Ray".

My wife was all kinds of antsy about the new set up even with our Harmony...until she used it for the first time. Since she will never need or use anything beyond basic functionality, it is perfect for her. And I used it most of the time too. Plus they are pretty easy to set up.

Used this exact unit for a few years. It was nice to have the sequencing so a single switch would initiate the whole system in order and my wife really liked it. She was always concerned about "not doing it right" before it arrived. It performed well in my system and remained until I installed a dedicated line. I then upgraded to an Audience conditioner that was an excellent deal at the time. (I had retired the mono blocks and went to a stereo power amp so my wife now is confident in the power up and down sequence). I have no issue recommending this unit especially for the price they normally retail for online.

I dig that, and agree that simplicity is good for the women folk. Since that is a bit of a specific need, I would choose the Monster if you like the price, and don't get a suggestion on here that you like better.

Doesnt look too bad. I am running panamax power conditioners at home. I like the sequenced start-up/shut-down for my sunfire amp since it doesnt have a power button. I turn it off during the weekdays and keep them on all the time turning the weekend.

Zingo, that Tripp-lite is definitely on the list now. It is actually a UPS too and power fluctuations are not that uncommon, where everything will just trip and reset everything in the house. This would totally stop that! I looked over the manual though and don't see that it supports sequenced or delay. Do you know if it does?
