Cool Lone Star Audio Fest 2013

Well, its roughly 3 months away. I've been looking forward to this since last years ended and I'm starting to get excited its around the corner again. I have no clue if Polk will have a room this year or not, but almost assuredly there will be a "Polkie Room" or two where any and all Polkies who make there way out there can hang out. I'm crashing there this time as the last two times I would've been better off doing so .

For those of you that haven't been, this is a pretty cool show that allows you to get your ears on some gear (about half of it is DIY) that you would never hear otherwise. Hang around Marvin and he'll get you into some hifi networking. I'm usually half-way gone by that point so it just doesn't work for me. For those of you that have been, I hope to see you guys again as that's about the only time I see any Polkies outside of a select few.

LSAF is good times for sure. Outside of the exposure to all the speakers and cables, it is always good to hang out with fellow friends. I will be looking forward to this event and hopefully get some homegrown brews again this year.

Ashamed I am not. Who I really feel bad for are the countless people who had to take the elevator afterwards.

I'll be bringing essentially my whole system. I might hold off on a DAC and see if I can swing the maple MD1 he has listed again. It'd take a trade-in and I don't know that I'm ready to part w/ the 6311's, but damn you got me jonesing. You got your room set up yet? Next time I come over I can help you move the leaning obelisks if you need it.

I am looking forward to this as well after missing last year. The 2013 LSAF site list Polk Audio as an exhibitor if that means anything. I don't really think I have any equipment worth bringing, unless someone wants to hear my TL3 desk system, but will be there. As far "Dodie's and Beano" goes I will consider myself warned.

I think I'm going to stay the night this time at least one night maybe two, will bring all my headphone gear and probably a smaller 2 channel setup. It won't compare to the other stuff at the show but it'll give me something to do if I get bored.

I am not certain I can go but have made reservations just in case. BYOB (bring your own Beano) and I might have a couch in my suite.

If I bring my amp could someone run diagnostics to give a spec report?

If I do, it will be incognito.
That way I can talk crap about you guys latter on the forum, and you will never remember meeting me.

Well guys just received my first piece of Modwright gear (KWI-200 integrated W/Dac option). Won't have time to listen to it till Sunday, but will post comparison to the PASS XA30.5/W4S Dac combo.

I will be bringing it to LSAF and look foward to hanging with you guys.

    Cheers
