Crossover question

If a sub woofer has a range of 32-225Hhz and the crossover is 60-110Hz how will it ever play above 110? If its set at 110 doesn't that mean it plays only 110 and below? I apologize for my nievity.

The crossover point is set to "roll off" the signal going to that speaker.
So if the subwoofer is set to a 110hz crossover point, it doesn't necessarily just simply cut off at that point but it rolls off starting at that point.

Plus, if the subwoofer has an unfiltered input (sometimes called LFE input), that bypasses the analog crossover on the sub. Most digital systems don't require a crossover on the subwoofer itself, since your receiver is handling all the system crossovers and combining the redirected bass with the LFE channel for a single output to the subwoofer.

What subwoofer do you even want to play above 110 ? Most subs are used for mid to lowbass frequencies below that point, not above. Since you have the A7's, you don't want to set it that high anyway. Your problem as I see it anyway is your sub isn't going to do much better than the 7's except in the lower regions. Upgrade that sub for substantial improvement.

I just used the values of the 125 to ask the question. I don't necessarily want to play it above 110Hz. And I just upgraded to this sub, its less than a week old.
