12v Trigger

Can I use regular speaker wire for a 12v trigger. Looks like it will be spade terminal hook ups on both ends.

You can, I would use something like telephone cable though since it is low voltage.

Yesindeedee! Everything works just fine. Playing pretty low right now. Guy said that they were in storage for a while. Don't think I am gonna need my tube buffer anymore. I'll get some pics.

Ok, do I run a wire from 12v on pre to gnd on amp, then gnd on pre to 12v on amp?

What you need is a 3.5mm jack audio cable that is mono. Looks like a headphone jack on both ends. You will need to cut off one end to use for the Parasound. There is a wire within the wire, that's the positive cable. There will be copper strands outside of the wire within (first level) and that's the ground. It has to be a mono cable, stereo won't work.

What is the triggering device? An avr or a pre? Depends on what connection that has. I assumed you were talking 3.5mm trigger on one end and the old Parasound screw type on the other. If its two parasounds with the same type connection just use any extra speaker wire you have.

Also, the Parasound amp needs to be left in the off position for the trigger to work.

thsmith recommended using telephone wire, so I did. Works like a charm! Man it was hard to get the casing off those little wires without strippers. Red was hot, green was ground. Thanks all for the help.
