In the beginning, all knowledge was new!

OHHH, this is almost tempting. Except first I would have to buy a new tv, a new BR/DVD/SACD/DVDA player...nevermind I will just have to live with my regular DVD I have of this terrific concert.
Sunfire TGP III PrePro, Sunfire Cinema Grand Signature 405wpc 5 ch. Amp,Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Onkyo TA2600 Tape Deck, Pioneer Elite 47-A DVD, Sony 32" XBR TV, Polk RTA-8T Main Speakers, Boston VR-920 Center Channel, Boston PV-600 Subwoofer, Polk DSW 400 Subwoofer, Polk FXi-3 Surround Speakers
The standard quality of that CD was outstanding. Would love to hear the BD of the concert. Well worth the $$$$
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

$$$$ I'm sure they got another farewell tour or two in them yet. $$$$
Any Eagles release brings a smile to my face. Perhaps one day we'll get another new song or two.
Anyone pick this up yet? Waiting for my copy from Amazon. Gets a decent review here: http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-Ea.../63541/#Review
As I recall, the DVD was pretty good, I have high expectations for the blu-ray.
I stopped in my local Best Buy yesterday with the intention of picking it up, but alas, they did not have any in stock... I guess I'll go ahead and order it from Amazon...
I previously owned both the DVD and the HDDVD, and they were both great! I expect the Blu-Ray to be every bit as good as the HDDVD was... It was/is one of my all-time favorite concert discs!!
"Life is one grand, sweet song, so start the music." ~ Ronald Reagan
"I love songs about horses, railroads, land, Judgment Day, family, hard times, whiskey, courtship, marriage, adultery, separation, murder, war, prison, rambling, damnation, home, salvation, death, pride, humor, piety, rebellion, patriotism, larceny, determination, tragedy, rowdiness, heartbreak and love. And Mother. And God." ~ Johnny Cash
Got my copy of this today, the blu ray doesn't disappoint. Got about 80 or so BD concerts, the picture here rivals any of them. Stellar audio to match. Menu seems a little awkward, no sound and "button to activity" response is slow (I have a couple like that). Once it starts though, just awesome. I like to rate concerts on blu (just for my own benefit) and I consider this one "well bought".
Is it a direct transfer from the HDDVD to BR?
I have the HDDVD and it is excellent all around, I ripped it to an .MKV format for streaming..
I love The Eagles they sound Fantastic.
I picked up my copy on BD on thurs and have watched it three times lol!!! It is incredible!!
Don Henley and Joe Walsh's music was a nice added bonus!!
I need to get this!
How does this concert compare to the Hell Freezes Over concert? Everybody seemed to really rave about that one.
Both are excellent, but the HFO concert was kind of laid back with an accoustical version of Hotel California, and an outstanding Last Resort with a full orchestra backing them up. But for straight out rockin, the Farewell tour can't be beat. I have both on DVD and HFO I have on DVD-V, DVD-A, and CD.

This definitely is a must have for me, but I'm going to wait a bit. My wife and daughter got me the dvd when it came out for Father's Day, and I think I'll just ask for this one for Fathers Day too.
My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.
Thank C, hopefully if the Farewell Blu Ray sells well, the HFO concert will go to Blu Ray.
