Damn, where was this a few months ago when I bought my 515. :(

The reviews on the 515 would up and down a lot too, and I was frustrated at first until the most recent firmware. Now that the stupid "if you turn the avr on before the tv you get no video" crap is fixed. I love it. I wish I had preouts, but I couldn't afford to spend that much on an avr that had them.

Do the newer Onkyo receivers still overheat as they did in the past?
I would check that out before purchasing one.
My last Onkyo receiver failed due to over heating and was replaced by an HK receiver of the same age a couple of years ago and it is still going strong.

My 808 is on like 8-12 hours a day and it doesn't get hot. But yea always checkout what others or saying as a deal it is not if you have problems. I do remember 4 years or so ago people having heat problems, anyway the deal is over now, back at $499
