Don't own one, but have heard one. If memory serves, I liked what I heard but the lowest of bass notes seemed a tad bloated to me. That could have been due to the associated gear though.

The Carver tubed CD players seem to be the cheapest way to get into tubed CD players; and I've only heard good things about them.
