Default Packaging speakers - need suggestions for a retail location to package

I found a buyer for the Klipsch Palladiums. Now I need to ship these speakers cross country and want to make sure they arrive with NO damage. They will be insured but I want to make sure if there is any damage in transit it will be covered by said insurance and I know some policies are pretty OCD about how an item is packaged.

I might have a box myself that will fit the speakers (a velodyne double sub box), but I would prefer to have them packaged by a professional company so I am CYA'ing myself.

Anyone have any suggestions for a company that has the ability to package some high end speakers to ensure they dont get damaged?

Should I have the company I plan to ship with package them?

    Easy peasy dude...

    Go to Lowes/Home Depot

    Buy a 4'x8' sheet of 2" foam.

Put the speaker in a heavy duty plastic bag.

Lay the speaker on the foam, cut it to the size of the bottom.

Run tape from bottom to top to secure the tape to the speaker. Then, take the foam - stand it up beside the speaker, repeat steps.

By the end of the above step the entire speaker should be encased in foam.

Once the speaker is encased in foam, lay the foam on top - cut it to size, secure.

If you want to go "Hardcore" does another round of foam on the top and bottom. If you want to give it a buffer, perhaps put some larger bubble wrap around the speaker as well :)

At the end it should look like this -

I bought a set of Celestion bookies a while back from a guy who packed them exactly as VR3 suggests above. Man, I've never seen such "perfect" packing! They arrived in MINT condition and I couldn't thank the seller enough!

But I think F1nut probably has a LOT of experience with larger speakers.
