I just treated it like I did when I paint a car outside. Sprayed it, let it set for a min then right in to the sun for the rest of the day.

    Next time I wont.

It's Florida winter sun, more like New England lite summer sun.

I have a question... What type of stain did you use? I read that lacquers are not to be applied over oil-based stains or any woods that have a high oil content, such as mahogany or rosewood.

I used this stain http://www.rustoleum.com/CBGProduct.asp?pid=564 with this lacquer http://www.minwax.com/wood-products/...ushing-lacquer. Reduced 50% with thinner and sprayed out of my HVLP gun.

    Thanks for the compliments.

You can spray lacquer over just about any stain available and that definitely includes oil based stains. Spraying lacquer on mahogany or rosewood isn't a problem. Mahogany is one of the most widely used woods in the furniture business and most of it is finished with lacquer. It isn't an oily wood anyway. Rosewood is, but there are others much more so.
