Bayaudio 500w Powerpack

Other than a company PDF, I can't find crap all for reviews on this sub amp.

I am currently debating a sub upgrade.

I have a high end passive sub that needs an amp and the Powerpack 500w is pretty much perfect since it *says* (company PDF) it is 2 ohm stable and I know that this passive sub can and will dig that deep on occasion.

I guess my biggest thing is when I listen to the 1812 Overture, I want to hear and FEEL the cannons fire. Not in that tactile transducer sort of way but more in that just got punched in the chest by Mike Tyson sort of way.

I havent heard of that brand. I do know a lot of people for HT subs using pro amps that have built in crossovers like crown.

I scored a hell of a deal on a great sub so I have put the above out of my head. Hehe thanks for the input though. Only problem I have with using a pro amp for my 2 channel system is "acceptable" distortion levels tend to be higher on pro amps.

For HT, I wouldn't hesitate to use a set of Crowns or the QSC GX series amps.
