    Default RTiA5 or RTiA7?

Hi everyone, I am from Argentina. Recently I got a central CSi A4 and a pair of RTi A1 (acting as surround speakers). I have a pair of floorstanding speakers Athena AS F1.2 and a receiver Yamaha RX-V350 (100W per channel), and a sub Klipsch RW 10D. I want to upgrade the floorstandings, so I have to choose between the RTi A5 and the RTi A7. I have to do a wise desition because of the prices here in Argentina ( pair of RTi A7, $1600 - pair of RTi A5, $ 1300). The room is 8m W (26,25 ft), 4m D (13,12 ft), 5m H (16,40 ft). Your advice, guys, is welcomed. Thanks to all.

Your ceiling is 5m high? Wow!

Get the A7's and if your AVR has pre outs, get a power amp as that is a big room to fill with sound.

Yes, 1/3 of the room is occupied by a mezzanine. My AVR does not have pre outs. Thank you for your advice.

    Vasco, welcome aboard!

With the CSiA4 and no pre-outs, go RTiA5's all day and never look back.

I agree with Geoff unless you may possibly upgrade to another AVR with preouts later down the road. If you decide to do this your current AVR will run the A7s well enough for the time being.

    Amp - Parasound 2250
    Mains - Polk RTi12 towers
    Center - CSi5

Geoff and snake, thanks for your concern. I'll decide this week and I'll post my election.

Hello again! Finally I have the RTi A5! I have been testing them just one day, but I can say they do their job very well.
I only listened music, but no movies so far. Thanks to all for your advice.

One question. Is it a good idea to use the provided spikes for the RTi A5 on solid ground?
