Default Any guesses on what these are?

No description and unfortunately, although they initially told me they were available, they came back and said sold. I thought maybe DCM Time Frames?

    http://charlotte.craigslist.org/ele/3759648883.html

Whatever they were, it looked like a heck of a price.

I thought maybe SDA's also, but since I lost out on the sale, I kinda hope they weren't. I was disappointed enough at DCMs

95% sure they aren't Polk's so no worries there. My guess would be on TimeFrames based off the mirrored emblems.

Yeah, I told them I would take them sight unseen. I was guessing maybe TF400's which I would love to hear. Heard they are pretty sweet vintage speakers.

    BTW, nice ride.

But my next new one will be a Trike or a big HONDA full dress for travel. But the prices of motorcycles are going crazy 25,000.00 or 34,000.00 for a trike. And accs are out of this world..H D=hundred dollars. Lol good luck on your speaker search. Take care. Randy

I heard of it, but have never been there. Sounds like fun though.

I went to several places in Greensboro where they performed while you were drinking. For $20 they would even perform right at your table just for you.

    Default SDA's or Timeframes......

Either way, I was sad to hear that they were gone after they had already told me to come by and get them.

Well worth 20.00 and the put on a great show. My wife just told me she plans on going again on her vacation. She is going to video some of it if she can get a good shot/seat. They have quite the selection of fine-dinning too..we do NOT see that kind of stuff up here in Maine. But there is alot of Theatre's----BOWDOIN COLLEGE. MONMOUTH. PORTLAND. HALLOWELL. BANGOR. The older i get i find it very interesting. They are gifted actors-to say the least------- randy

They are definitely DCM Time frames. My best guess would be TF 350's because you can visibly see the top driver but can see no indication of the lower driver like the 400's, 600's etc have. The lower drivers are the coaxial mounted drivers with the tweeters mounted over them in the anti diffraction grille. it is hard to tell the size but assuming that is a standard size fence (32-36 inches tall) these would probably be in the 3-3.5 ft tall range, further indicating a 350 or similar size model. But others use the coaxial mounted tweeter on the lower driver. those that don't are the 250, 350, (not sure the set up on the 500), the 700 and the 1000 (and i believe the 200) But the 700 are over 4 ft tall i believe and the 1000's are close to 5 ft (not sure the exact dimensions, it's been a while since i had mine out), so it would not to be either of those considering the assumed height. If the fence is taller than assumed it could possibly be a larger model. The 600's are around the correct assumed size but use the coaxial mounted tweet as do the 400's (dual driver) and 275's ( I believe a single driver but am not 100% sure).

No matter the model, well worth the price they posted for. The lowest model I would want would be the 400 series 2's with the rear mounted tweeter. the 600's are the sweet spot in the TF line IMO. Te TF V.0 line has a little more bottom end but is a touch less smooth than the good standard TF models. The Time Windows are the better of the vintage DCM's IMO. I hate you missed them, which ever model they were. Keep your eyes out. Vintage DCM's turn up a good bit in our area, though not as cheap as that. there was a man not too long ago that had some Time Window 1A's just south of Charlotte but he wanted a little more than i wanted to put into them. Not sure if he still has them or not, he had called me a couple of weeks ago to see if i may still be interested in them for what i had offered, but i had just had to get my wife a new car as her van gave out on her, and i didn't have the extra funds.

They are definitely DCM TimeFrames. It says they are very large, which is a relative thing I know, but that could mean they are TF-1000s(which were the TFs top of the line speaker next to the almost impossible to find TF-2000s). I've had several sets of the TFs and they are very good speakers, especially for the price. They image wonderfully and have a very large soundstage with a warm overall tone similiar to vintage Polks. I like to refer to them as SDA Lights ;-). For that price they are an absolute steal!

Yeah, I thought Time Frames right away and was hoping for at least the 400's. And I did see the Time Window's for sale. If it's the same one, originally there was an AVR included with them for like $299 but then he wised up and had the speakers for that much alone.

And I have heard the TW is the way to go if you can find them at a decent price, but I would still like to at least check out the 400 or 600's, which I see for sale from time to time around here. There is a pair of TF-400's for $175 that have been up for sale for months now. Could be they are ready to take an offer.
