How do the SDA-1's sound, good SDA into?

I found a pair for $500 and its literally right down the road from me. Original owner, original box, and original SDA interconnect. The one pic is very small but the tweeters look to be silver. Is that the SL1000 or ???

What could I expect to spend upgrading x-overs and recapping? Any other must do mods?

I've owned Polk's since early 90s and have always wanted the full SDA SRS and will eventually find a pair but would these be a good first SDA experience? How are they with HT? I will be using primary for music so just curious.

500 is too much. mostly come with SL2000 tweeters, which you will have to spend $200 for 4 new RD094 . offer him 250. 300 max. how do they sound? mine sound better (more 3D, wall-of-sound kinda thing) than the Lsi9s using the same amp. SL2000 is good for rap/hiphop music, but gives you headache after a while. it reminds me of the tweeter in the RTi series.

SDA 2s. Better than 90% of the crap sold at Best Buy. You could do a lot worse.

$500 is utterly, totally, completely insane. I wouldn't walk across the street to look at them for that price. Less than $200 (by about half) would be another story.

$500 or less should get you fairly pristine SDA 1Cs, maybe SDA SRS 2s. Lasereath got some beat-up SDA SRSs for not much more than that.
