I've been there. There's no discussion of ANYTHING there.

I'm not asking that everyone agree. That's ridiculous. What I am saying (and have said in Emo threads in the past before I even owned one) is that if you know what these threads end up turning into and if people are having a civil discussion about it despite that (as we attempted to), don't come in and stir the pot. You know what's going to happen. Let people who enjoy their gear enjoy their gear, even if you think it doesn't deserve the hype.

Some people who own EMO gear do go overboard,I own EMO cause well I didn't want used.It is entry level. Don't know why people want too jump F1nut and some of the other ole timers in here they have help so many people in here including me.But for two channel music there is much better out there.EMO is a good value, but not the only value out there.I will keep my XPA-5 for HT but my UPA-1's will be upgraded soon.If you do post anything negative about EMO on that site they will give you a hard time and maybe get banned too.Too each his/her owe I say.A Big thank you too all the Ole Timers on here I for one appreciate all the help I got from you guys!Peace!

F1nut,Fool , moron ,stupid and Troll those were Bluefox's words not mine..
Like Kuntasensei keeps saying no one here is claiming Emo to be the best gear but we like it and when we post good things about it the thread turns into this..
Just look what happened when someone posted about the new XPA-1L the Emo haters right away started throwing it under the bus..
Oh my CPD and my Dac weigh more than that, so what.
Oh I find the mods do great job moderating the forum without the need for me to contact them about personnel attacks in threads.

Yeah, that's how to amp up the maturity level here. Nice.

By the way, you tried any aftermarket power cords yet? Or are they still snake oil. Just sayin', man. *sigh*
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

He's only here to troll and not contribute. Just look at his posts. And trying something new would require him thinking outside of the small world he locks himself into. He is right, you are wrong...at least in *his* little world.

by all means, please use a HTIB for your 2 channel needs. I'm sure it will give you all the enjoyment you need.

oh but stay away from samsung, they put some of those old tube things in there. I'm sure you wouldn't want to be associated with "old" people now.

Guys who spent a lot on high-priced amps are absolutely livid with Emotiva. That much is certain. Or, at the very least, obsessed. My problem with high-priced amps is that they require cable risers and esoteric strips of wire (power, interconnect, speaker) to really sound their best; to truly lower the noise floor, identify appropriate timbral textures, and extract micro detail from a pair of Polk SDAs. And that's why I like Emotiva amps. I plug in the factory provided power cable, connect the amp to a nice pair of speakers (LSi7s, for example), and sit back and listen to a fantastic and robust sound. Simply wonderful. The Emotiva apparently sounds great with Legacy Audio speaker, too. But those don't compare to SDAs, so Bill Dudleston can get away with it. People on a limited budget with Focus Whispers will want to hear what those speakers sound like on home theater amps.

Keep the flames going guys! No point in having a civil discussion at this point ;>}. Tried and failed.

This is where the thread started to spiral down and out of control. Now, whether there is truth in that statement or not doesn't really matter. Prior to that post it was a reasonable thread.

Now I just find it funny - not a smidge of good info after that!

You gotta admit though, unless you press the "post" button, you don't have a dog in the fight.
I have been following this thread, but, and this is a rare occasion....I have not posted..
Basically, it has happened so many times in the past, for once, personally, I thought I would keep my mouth shout.

I just figured my post was as relevant to the OP's thread as F1nut's was...

DAMN - two posts in one day!! Just think, at this rate I'll have 100 sometime in 2015!

If we're all gonna crap on a thread - let's make it a colorful, fun crap. Still stinks, but at least it's got an entertainment factor.

That's the spirit!! Who else wants to either post crap or just up their post count?

Original OP - my sincere appology for this but after F1nut crapped on your thread and then the followers-on got involved it's a wasted thread anyway. I'm not sure why this place can't be cleaned up or why you can't post an honest opinion without someone turding up the place.

There's a reason I have so few posts in the amount of time I've been here. And this thread represents the classic reason why..

PS: F1 could care less, you would think he hates you, he does not!
Jesse is a down to earth guy and you would think (like I have in the past) have a difference with him and the next thing you know you have a great report going with him through pm's.
Trust me, been there done that, one of the best guys on this forum!
    Bare none.
I have tried to pi$$ him off in the past and am still good friends.

    What exactly is this score?
