amp recommendations

Anybody have any amp suggestions to run two 10" momo 104s? I've searched a bit through Sounddomain.com, but maybe somebody else has some better ideas for under $500. Here are two that I was thinking about getting:

Rockford Fosgate Power 1001bd http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/ROC1001BD

HiFonics Zeus ZX7500

id go with a hifonics brutus 1500 from www.acaraudio.com , id look up some more amps and post links, but my computer is being an a-hole

Thanks for the suggestion sntnsupermen. I think I'll have to do some Christmas shopping for myself.

I've got another question. Is it possible to make a 1 ohm load with three subs (2 single voice coil, 4ohm subs, and 1 dual 4-ohm voice coils sub)? Thanks for the help.

Three 4 ohm SVC subs would be close (1.3).

which doesnt answer your question, but is correct
im not sure how you would wire two 4 ohm subs and 1 8 or 2 ohm sub...
if u had 3 4 ohm subs...then you could get a 1.3, just like thom said

I don't think it's a good idea to use subs of a different impedance wired together. A DVC 4 ohm and two SVC 4 ohm woofers would give you a 1 ohm load but the one woofer would get twice as much power as each of the others, I guess. What's the difference in power output of any amp between 1.0 and 1.3 ohms, anyway? In reality the impedance might be lower or higher than the theoretical 1.3 if you use the three 4 ohm woofers.

I would second that statement 100%. It's just not a good idea to mix different drivers - whether it is different models, different sizes, different impedances, different VC configs, etc.

Good points, especially the one about the one sub getting twice the power of the other two. And I doubt I'd be able to tell the difference in 1.0 and 1.3 while listening to music. Thanks for the input. It's cleared things up quite a bit.

Okay, I've got another question for ya. Would the HiFonics Brutus BX1500D be able to sufficiently power three momo 104s if the subs were wired for the theoretical 1.3 ohm load? I would think, correct me if I'm wrong, that they wouldn't get the full (recommended) 5oo watts rms each, but that the amp would be able to power them well. Here are links to the amp and subs:

yes sir, the amp can handle it and all the speakers will get circa 500watts

Yet another question. I've got one 10" momo right now, one on the way, and plan on getting another momo sub. Would it be better to stick with a 10", or would a 12" be better? Is there much of a sound difference between the 10s and 12s? The 10 i've got in my blazer right now sounds great, but I need more. I'm gonna be powering them with a HiFonics Brutus BX1500D that's on the way. Thanks.

theres not much of an audible difference b/t a 10 and 12
and if you already have 10s, mixing sizes isnt the greatest thing to do...
