mixing different series speakers

im planning to upgrade my home theater. im planning to get either the RTi or the Lsi series for my fronts. is it okay to mix either of those series i mentioned with the monitor series for my surrounds? i just noticed that surrounds really doesnt need that much quality on sound except maybe if listening to a 7 channel stereo setting. correct me if i'm wrong. the reason for this is mainly the money for my budget and the wife factor.
