Polk TL3 - Can you take off the heel bit.

I have the Polk TL3 speakers and was wondering if the bottom heel bit can be taken off? From the picture, it's the thing that holds up the speakers on a flat surface, the area below the gap. It is detachable basically.

That's part of the power port, you should leave it in place.

I believe that's part of Polk's Power Port and should be left alone.

I am assuming you want to angle it downwards on a bracket...would suggest a different bracket because as listed above it is part of the design and will probably change the dynamics.

The LSiM 703 have power ports too, for bass dispersion...see pic
