Default New Audio Website - Need Constructive Opinions

    Hi everyone,
After six months of thought and planning I started a new audio review website, focusing on gear for people with limited room. I'm keeping it simple and solo by going blog-style. The layout still needs a bit of work. The first two reviews are up and I welcoming opinions and suggestions, including gear to check out.
    Thanks, Mark

    Mark,

Are you the web designer? I would remove all Cascades, etc from it and cache it. Second, I also like WordPress (for simplicity), but that is just me and I am not a web designer.

Now the site. Small spaces audio is a great idea, as practically everyone has to deal with it. I would also include treatment ideas/diys as well. Beyond having equipment for a limited space, treating the room also present its challenges.

    Halen,
I'm using Google's Blogger so as I learn more I believe I can customize quite a bit. Thanks for the suggestions.

If I'm being completely honest your site is clean, but a little...generic looking I think is the phrase I"m looking for. In one sense it's nice because the importance is on the content and not the design, but I think you can have both a great design and a focus on the content as well.

You should take a look at squarespace, it's a hosting company that also has a lot of great templates to choose from. Their templates are simple and clean and they have a good variety and they all also come with mobile versions as well. It's a great service, it's not ideal for people with really heavy data and traffic requirements, but it's basically designed specifically for what you want to do.

I've built a couple sites using them and have had excellent results with their tools and customer service.

    Main HT
Magnepan 1.6QR fronts, POlk R15 surrounds, Pioneer SC-25, Parasound Halo A23, Oppo BDP-105, Panasonic TC-P60ZT60, Sony PS3, Apple TV

    Bedroom System
Polk Blackstone TL3, Polk PSWi225 Wireless Sub, HK 3490 Integrated, Oppo BDP-103, Sharp Aquos 32" TV, Apple TV

    Office Rig
27" iMac w/Amarra, AudioQuest Dragonfly 1.2, Focal XS Book, Schiit Valhalla, Cypher Labs Theorem 720, Philips Fidelio X1, Sennheiser HD600, HiFiMan HE-500, B&W P7, LG 47LM7600, Sony PS3, Apple TV
