    Default New plasma purchase

    Hi all,

    Going to be purchasing a new tv soon. Was looking for some feedback on the models I have narrowed it down to.

    Samsung pn64e8000
    Panny tcp65st50
    Panny tcp65gt50

    What one would be the best.
    My HT is:
    Pioneer vsx23
    Pioneer bdp23
    Carver av705x
    Klipsch rf62 5.1 system
    APC h15

    Best in that bunch IMO is the GT50 which is what I have and am amazed everytime I turn it on.

    GT50 then ST50. Don't even consider the Samsung.

    I have the ST30 and honestly it's the best investment I have made to my system in the last year. i would never admit that to the wife lol, I was originally dropping 1500 on a 5 channel amp instead until she talked me out of it.

    It's a tv that will make you start buying blu rays to watch on it rather than streaming them.

    ST30 owner here. Panasonic makes excellent plasmas.

    I ended up going with the Panny GT50. It was a great decision. My eyes are amazed with it every day.

    Do NOT buy a Samsung TV!!! There are threads here and elsewhere, they are not reliable and when something breaks Samsung won't help.

    Another vote for the GT50. I have an ST 30, the deal was just too good to pass up, but the GT was my first choice. Still very happy with what I have.

    I love my Samsung but if you can afford it get the GT50. Overall GT50 has the best Pic.

    Thanks for all the input guys, really appreciate it. Looks like ill go with the gt50. I'll post a day or two after setting it up. I'll probably be like a kid on Christmas Day. LOL! Thanks again.
