    I saw a trick similar to this a few years ago. It's actually pretty obvious and easy to figure out if you pay attention. It did amaze me too before I figured out what was going on.

    ALL the cards change. The first set is a mixed bag of face cards. The second set is also a mixed bag of face cards, EVERY one different than the first set. So, regardless of which one you choose, it will be removed (because there are only five cards in the second set).
