Interest Check... Vintage Crossover Plate Shelf for PTP crossovers.

I at this time will not go into much detail but a local fabricator and myself have been working on a "shelf" that will mount to the factory aluminum crossover plate of the bigger SDA models.

This will allow owners to fabricate a point to point crossover or whatever, mount the Gimpod boards on it, etc but allow enough room for the Clarity Cap MR caps if you decide to use them and keep them internal.

I have no idea on price or anything.

Pricing isn't bad. I'd have to figure out how to mount them in my 2.3s since I don't have a plate. Was looking at a set of 1.2 TLs a few months back, but I'm not sure my room would actually be big enough. The bass from my 2.3s with all the upgrades is already just shy of overwhelming the room, even with my rather modest 45 wpc monoblocks.

How far in would it go? I would be worried about it affecting air movement within the cabinet.

We have discussed putting randomly specific holes in the shelf plus other things - still in the design phase for sure

In order to not restrict air flow I thought it made more sense to make a "vertical shelf" meaning all of the components would mount on to what would technically be "the side walls" and there will be a 3" deep floor (cabinet is 10.75" overall depth) that I can mount connectors, etc -

Based off what I have here this should house a point to point crossover, be compatible with GIMPOD boards if you wanted to unmount the inductor, mount the stock inductor over this plate, reinstall the inductor with the GIMPOD board and remote mount the Clarity Cap MR caps if needed...
