    Default B&W Speakers

I have a friend of mine looking to sell his system whcih consists of CDM 1s, CDM 1nt's, CDM Center and ASW 2000.

I am most interested in the CDM 1NT's. Any opinions?

I don't care for the B&W sound but that doesn't mean you won't like them. Best to hear for yourself.
If you can't hear a difference, don't waste your money.

I am going to see if I can't give them a test drive with my gear.

Good call. You'll never know how they might sound, or whether you'll like them unless you can hear them with your equipment. Have you listened to other B&W speakers in the past?

I have CDM 1NTs and CDM SE Center.

Mine are paired with a Musical Fidelity A5 Int Amp.

The CDMs like the power and I get good synergy with the A5 which has a smooth top end.

The B&Ws may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I am VERY happy with the resultant synergy and sound.

To put these into a Polk perspective, I owned both the RTiA3s and the LSi7s - the CDM 1NTs marry the high end sparkle and detail of the RTiAs (which I like), and the warm rich mid-range of the LSi7s (which were too laid back up top for me).

The return is dependent on what kind of deal you can get for them. I got a killer deal on mine.

    Nice Setup!

Do you mind me asking what a killer deal is?

Isn't the CD case on top of the sub going to cause rattle? I had a nice sub before, but removed it cause it worsen the sound.
