Default Need help on center speakers

Currently own 2 center speakers 1. CS 10 and the other the CS 400 my main front speakers are the monitor 70, which Center would or should sound better with the 70s, reason I am about to sell the CS 400 with some other Polk front speakers that are older then the monitor 70.

    Thanks

The CS10 would definitely have a better timbre match to your Monitor 70's, but the CS400 is a much higher quality speaker in every way.
    My humble setup...

    ...is no more.

Thanks for the reply guy,s that is what was in my mind but it will not be so called timbre but neither would the CS10 belief it would be the CS2, the 400 are bulky and perhaps better sound matching to the 700, eill listen tomorrow.

There's your answer. Listen and decide which is better. The sound you like best is what is important, not what anybody says here.

Well listen to both Center speaker and the CS10 sounded a tid bit higher on the high ends then the CS400 but the 400 sounded Ok except for the high notes, so have to get the house boss to select which one, LOL

What TonyB said. You can hang onto that CS400 for a very long time and use it with a variety of speakers all along the RT line. Good luck, show us some photos of your rig and report back on your decision...please.

I have a cs300 IT SOUNDS AWESOME the 400 is suposed to sound better , I cant sell my 300 its a awesome speaker .
Timbre match is important but when doing a pink noise ( level test ) across your speakers even three identcal speakers wont match since the internall crossover changes things plus the differant speaker placements .
Yes some of you out there think I am wrong but in the real world where the center may be above the tv and the mains lower to the ground or closer to a wall there is a sound differance .
I would keep what I am happiest with .
The cs400 is a awesome speaker I would find a way to keep it in the system

Have been wondering your reason for keeping the 400 over the CS10???
