Hi everyone. New forum member but longtime Polk owner. Bought a pair of SDA-2B's new back in late 80's from HiFi buys. Then bought a new pair of monitor 5jr's and a new pair of mini montors again from HiFi buys. Then in the 90's sometime I bought a CS350 center channel. What an awesome HT setup I had in the days of dolby pro-logicII. Problem is later on I sold the SDA's. Big Mistake. My HT set up still uses all my original speakers along with some used 11t RTA I picked up for my mains.
Feeling the need, I just purchased a Mint pair of SDA-2's with real wood cabs. Not a blemish. Any ways these are power hungry. I never knew about the common ground issue before. Just got lucky I guess with my earlier SDA-2b's when i used my Proton D1200 to power them (nostalgic sonic bliss). Iam looking at purchasing a Conrad Johnson MF2500A solid state amp. Good reviews with plenty of power, and smooth highs for the sl1000 tweets. Does anyone know if amp is common ground. I left a message for the manufacturer but have not heard back. Thanks for any help.
