I bought a used pair of Polk S4 yesterday and didn't notice until I got them home that they sound like they have blown woofers (thew woofers rattle at bass frequencies). Seller said he'd refund my money if I wanted him to but I was wondering if I could ust install a pair of new woofers to fix these. The cabs are in quite good shape and the highs sound nicer to me than the Dayton B652s I was using. I plan to power these with an Onkyo TX 910. This is in my bedroom system.
Dayton has 6.5" woofers for $10 reach that are supposed to be a good speakers. TIA for your advice.
