Nope, never. Many buisnesses have already banned these puppies. Too much spying on each other going on these days. Wouldn't use them if they were free.

Well I'm an IT/Tech Guy, I need to be exposed to all new technologies to better support my clients. This is one reason why I have 3 smart phones. I won't be the guy online outside the Best buy to buy one the day they come out but I will have a pair for sure.

Im sure something like this is bound to catch on. "I'll never carry a cell phone" or even "I don't need a computer" people are now hooked on Facebook and YouTube.

Interesting Sal, what kind of client would use these ? Certainly nobody wanting any type of privacy in their buisness meetings or personal conversations. As an IT/TECH guy, you should come up with ways to jam these things. That would be an easy sell to most any client.

Now that I gave you the idea, you have to throw me a bone when you come up with the product. A big bone.

Tony, On a closed network I could jam these things very easily, I just need to find out what ports they use and block those ports on the firewall.

On the Cell provider network it would most likely be an FCC violation and I have no desire to mess around with the FCC.

I think they are an interesting application of the Google Now technology, and may work VERY well as an assistive device with the right application.

Oh, and yeah, most here have a problem spending 100 bucks on a PC, 1500 bucks to look like a cyborg from Star Trek ? I don't think so.

I still think they haven't taken the scratch n sniff technology as far as they could.

Anyone comes at me with a suggestion to implant some "new technology" into my body that does not directly save my life (Yes, I'm thinking about my diabetes) they are gonna come against some hard resistance. That said, this new technology is one step closer to the suggestion above. I am not against new technology, but I am very against this technology being used to potentially take people's rights away. I don't need any easier way to "google something", thanks anyway. Also, what happens when people become so dependant on this "wireless technology" and the whole thing collapses due to a natural or unnatural disaster? People (IMO) need to stay grounded as to what's real and what's separating you (further) from reality. Don't misunderstand me, I am not suggesting that people be afraid of this technology. I am simply saying don't become dependent upon it. That's what I see coming with technology like this being pushed further and further.

Remember you heard it here first; Google is Big Brother in spades. The US Government will one day take over Google and anyone who ever used their search, gmail, VOIP, these glasses, GoogleEarth, Chrome or anything else Google will become an instant felon for something in a database from their past.

I wonder if these conversations started the same when things like the iPod came out. Definitely an interesting idea. No idea if it would help me in the real world. I could see a lot of applications where this type of product could be amazing in a retail environment. One where these could take over the scanners so I could check inventory levels of products just by looking at them.

Imagine, if google can record it, government can watch it. Imagine millions being watched....yuck.

Incidently, all those cute, fun to play with apps on your phone, most permissions grant them access to your phone calls, logs, contacts, etc. I know this is all under the blanket of data mining, but for who and what eventual purposes not yet known ? Seems to me some privacy issues need to be brought up.

Good point, it could go that way too.

There's a bar in the Seattle area that's banned 'em. You'll get escorted outside. They want their clientele's privacy protected.

No problem paying that kind of coin for something really cool and very innovative.
as for a PC or Google Glass, Glass wins hands down and people will spend the coin on it as opposed to a PC because for most Glass is something they KNOW is making a difference without really sitting down for an intense listening session and still wondering if the PC is making a difference.
I'm not picking on anyone just compare apples to apples..
and if you slap them of a guys head well get ready for a lawsuit as it you will most likely have been caught on video for the assault, lol
