I've been going through our 1979 house and replacing all the original A/C outlets as their clamping have become weak; it's time. I haven't been doing anything fancy, although I did add a 20A circuit to the garage as it only had one 15A outlet to feed the whole place.
However, I just picked this up for my stereo as I wanted something a little better than contractor grade, but not a $100 PS Audio receptacle. Picked up a Leviton 8200-PLI hospital grade outlet, but more importantly, the outlet is all brass with no steel. It also has an integrated LED to show when the outlet has power which I think is kind of neat; although obviously not needed. The outlet cost me $8, so no matter what the aural outcome (if any), I will now have a high quality, good clamping, non-ferrous outlet for my 2 channel system!
