Finally home now! Feeling awesome. No irregular beats now since the surgery was over. So far so good. Looks like %100 success.

I'm going to go lay down now. They woke me every 2 hours last night to check BP and temp!

Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers everyone! I get to go back to work next week.

Wow, that's neat (other than the "wake the patient every two hours all night" part)!
Glad to hear things went smoothly (figuratively and literally, based on your description).
    all the best,

PVC = premature ventricular contraction. Many people have these occasionally and it causes no problems. But when they come too often then a doc will typically want to do something about them.

Glad the ablation went well and you're feeling better!

Yeah, the monitors were showing I was having around 20,000 in a 24 hour period. Most times there were 3 PVC's between every normal beat.

Glad you're home. I think it was caused by adrenaline rushes every time you saw some SDAs on CL and thought you had a chance. They will come back.

Perhaps so Ken! My brother has a pair of 1C's for me free. Just gotta drive to Arkansas to pick 'em up. That is a road trip I can not afford right now though.

Well this was the 2nd time I've had this surgery performed. This was to "finish" things up. With the hope I would have no more issues and have to take meds for the rest of my life. After the 1st time I was still having pvc's. Just not as many. Now I am not having any at all. So yeah...I guess just like that. I ain't back in the saddle just yet. Supposed to take it easy the next 5 days, not lifting anything over 5 lbs. I mean, my groin and balls are shaved and have 2 bandages on each side all taped up. lol

I already told 'em they'd better not be installing no Monster wire in me damnit! lol

I had preop today. Procedure is 9am tomorrow and I have to stay over night. And be outta work the rest of the week. Of which I have no time to take to cover. Turning 40 has been a bitch so far!

Any prayers or well wishes would be most appreciated!
Glad to hear so far all went well. Your first op was $140,000 wow, I had open heart surgery to repair a valve 8 years ago and my doctor told me if I didn't have insurance it would have cost me $115,000, how much at to days prices? That included 6 days in the hospital, meds, preop etc. Had what you just had 3 years ago, no issues so far. No idea what the cost would have been for the op and 1 day in the hospital. I don't think $140,000 but not sure...

So you have not had anymore PVC's since? Could you feel them when they happened? I was told many people have them (and don't know it) and can't feel them or are not sensitive to them. But I could damn sure feel them. Sometimes keeping me awake at night. Also the first time they did this I was on the operating table for 7.5 hours. This last time was around 1.5 hours. They told me the usual time is 1 to 2 hours. But I was having more (pvc's) than most patients they see so that is what took so long the first time. This second time they had a robot doing the procedure!

I had them at one time, but not as many as you. Every time I could feel it - like a really warm feeling in the middle of my chest, and like I needed to take a really deep breath. I don't seem to get them very often any more though.
