Congratulations. That is a great price on some very nice sounding speakers. I have a pair of the Monitor 7Bs and like them a lot. I do not know about the crossover upgrade but there are lots of wonderful and knowledgeable people on this site who will be able to help you with your crossover upgrade question. Welcome to Club Polk and enjoy your 7C speakers!

Welcome! Awesome speakers, and considered by many the most well rounded of all the Monitor Series.
Plenty of help here, whether doing it yourself, or having others do it for you.

thanks a lot for the prompt responses. they really do sound good! the thing that really gets me is that they look brand new really. the corners aren't rounded; they are square! it looks like they are just right out of the boxes!

Congratulations, jestwaitn! The Polk 7s are wonderful speakers. And you got them at an unbelievable price! I have a pair of 7Bs (which I had been trying to sell with no luck so I will keep them) and really love them. The only reason I was thinking of getting rid of my 7Bs was due to having too many speakers (Monitor 10s, SDA 2Bs, PSB speakers etc). The Monitor 7s have a great soundstage, very clear and transparent, with excellent imaging. I really love the original Monitor series - the Monitor 5, Monitor 7, Monitor 10. They are all great!

i like stereo sound, not the surround, so they are hooked to a HK stereo receiver. high current, 80 wpc and very clear sound stage and strong bass. it's a dynamite combo! i truly think the polk speakers are the best i've ever heard!
