    Default Invert binding post plate

I'm wondering if it is possible to invert (flip) the binding post plate on my speakers. As they are now my banana plugs and cable are angled upwards putting stress on the connection and wire...it also sticks out quite a bit; doesn't look very nice on my rear speakers. Would it be as easy as un-screwing the post plate and flipping it or are the wires inside pretty short? I have Monitor 60II, 30II and CS1II.

two things ...you could look or you could get some spades.
I'm not familiar with your speakers so make sure as you turn over that there is not the floor involved in now pushing up from the speaker wires...or falling out from weight of wire.

I can't speak to the internal wiring, but from an exterior connection perspective, you'll need to make sure that the banana plugs are adequately tight so that they do not fall out when they're downward facing. Some bananas are tighter than others.

Chances are that the crossover board is attached to the binding post plate on your speakers and there probably isn't enough wire to twist.

As for your concern, "As they are now my banana plugs and cable are angled upwards putting stress on the connection and wire". It's a lot less of a concern than you think it is.

Guys, thanks for the replies. It didn't occur to me that the binding posts face upwards to keep the plugs from falling out. I'll take a look at spades or maybe just work on getting over the imagined strain on the cable/plugs.

To help ease your mind.......I've had a set of MIT Shotguns literally hanging off the back of my office rig speakers, binding posts on the same upward angle, for years now. Not a problem.

There are also angled bananas that might be applicable to you
